Day 13: Top 5 Favourite Dance Teams

5.  Sinead Kerr and John Kerr...the ever lovable British brother-sister team. I mean, what's not to love? Random, different, and British. Plus they're brother and sister. Ha. I could never skate with my brother(s). But I like that they were willing to take a chance and I'm sad that they withdrew from Worlds. They woulda been up there this year.

4. Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon...haha - I just realized I didn't include them in my Top 5 or best dancers list back at the start. I probably actually would revise the Top 5 programs to include them - they're excellent. What I like even more is that they sat in the shadow of Bourne/Kraatz for so many years and then still managed to do well and come into their own.

3. Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat. I just love them. I seriously always have. I don't know why or what makes it so, but is does. So there. They're from France. Her red hair is just so fiery and awesome. And they were unique in a powerful sort of way.
2.  Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.  They may eventually make their way to number 1, but for now they'll have to settle for number 2. But only for now I suspect ;) They're fantastic on and off the ice and I'm so glad they didn't retire after the Olympics. I can't wait to watch Dance this week!

1. Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz. I know there is not nice stuff said about him in the skating world, but really, let's face it - I have way too many positive, obsessive memories as a child (read: teenager) to not put them at number 1. As a teen, I hated ice dance (oh how silly and naive of me) - these two were the only reasons I watched. And they so should have been Olympic Champions. How sad.
