A List

Edited to add an update :D

If I don't make a list I'm going to forget something...so this is for me. Not for you. But I do promise some updates on life, especially some good Alexys milestones, very soon. At the moment I'm barely coherent enough to write this list (from the shower of course!). I spent the last 2 days at a judging seminar - it fries your brain - it's good for me.

To Do This Week:
-Get Alexys' ballet clothes and slippers.

-Get Alexys' school shoes and buy her "first day of school" outfit :)

-Wash the shower curtains (I have cloth and they smell funny).

-Exchange Alexys' skates - her feet are on a growth spurt again. Sheesh.

-Finish all bonus transcription with the SFU prof who hired me.

-Work a 400 minute week (as in transcription minutes in case you're wondering). Lots of bills (see above shopping list) to follow. Anyone want to babysit? Jord is off tomorrow and Tuesday, but then is going away with friends Thursday night to Monday afternoon.

-Register Lex for Canskate...find out when registration day is first. (Registration first week in September, wahoo!!!).

-Plan PCS seminar for first week back to school for Aldergrove...best done while I'm still brain-fried on PCS from my seminar.

Ambitious? Yes.

Doable? Perhaps. Let's see how the week goes. Fingers crossed!!!

On a roll...

Seriously my kid is hilarious.

So the other night we ordered pizza (aside - that's the good part about this colder summer - we don't order out as often because the house has been cool...when it gets hot, we order out because I refuse to even use the stove). Anyways.

I told Alexys that "pizza" was coming when the delivery guy knocked on the door.

Apparently she misheard me because when we opened the door, she yelled "Hi Jesus!" clear as a bell.

We're all thankful for pizza Lex...I'm just not that thankful ;)

More Gems

Alexys has really been on a roll this past little while and her sentences are finally 2 different ideas being put together instead of just memorizing 2 and 3 word phrases.

Some more gems:

This morning we were watching youTube and ended up on people's home movies of real princesses in Disneyland. Alexys said "go vroom vroom princess hug?" Meaning, "Can we go in the car to give the princesses a hug?" So cute.

And for record's sake she calls her Disney princesses:
Snowman (Snow White)
Cinrella
Tangud (Rupunzel from Tangled)
Sleepy (Sleeping Beauty - who has too many names for the record...)
Bey (Belle - hard to type - she just skips the L sound)
Tinkerbey (Tinkerbell)
Princess Jasmine (not plain Jasmine - she only likes her when she's wearing a dress)
Muhan (applies to both Pocahontas and Mulan apparently)
Mermaid (Ariel if that's not obvious)

All princes are just prince :)

What else? Hmmmm.

We were at a birthday party yesterday and when it was time to go, instead of throwing a fit (as per normal), she said "No. All done home." I thought that was smart. And don't worry, we had to pick her up and leave while she kicked and screamed and it took me and Jord to get her in her carseat :)
